Roxbury Correctional Institution in Hagerstown announces Employee of the Month, Supervisor of the Quarter
TOWSON, MD (April 12, 2012) - Sgt. Randall Hart is the Roxbury Correctional Institution (RCI) Employee of the Month for April because of his professionalism and dedication to the institution. Sgt. Hart is the officer-in-charge of the housing unit that accommodates both newly-arrived inmates and general population inmates.
He must direct these inmates through a three-step, detailed intake process, while continuing to oversee his daily activities of the unit. In addition to his regular duties, he maintains the supervisory database to ensure it is updated and functioning. Sgt. Hart, who has worked for the state since 1987, does not hesitate to share his knowledge and give direction to new staff members.
Warden Gregg Hershberger named Nurse Manager Stacey King, RN, RCI Supervisor of the Quarter. Nurse King’s high level of professionalism has improved the medical department since she assumed the Nurse Manager’s position. She worked to enhance the cooperation between custody and medical staff, which improves the safety and security of the institution.
RCI, located south of Hagerstown on Roxbury Road, is a DPSCS facility that houses approximately 1,700 male offenders. There are approximately 450 personnel positions at the prison.
