Charges: Five counts related to possession with intent to distribute cocaine and marijuana.
Bail had been set at $75,000
Circumstances of the apparent mistaken release are unknown at this time. The detainee was confirmed missing late this afternoon.
Baltimore City Police and the Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services (DPSCS) Internal Investigative Unit have been notified.
The Baltimore Central Booking and Intake Center (BCBIC) is one of the busiest booking facilities in the nation. Last fiscal year (ending June 30), BCBIC booked 57,925 arrestees. In June 2011, the facility averaged 171 daily bookings.
