Maryland Correctional Training Center announces Employee of the Month for July 2011

TOWSON, MD (July 6, 2011) Andrea Carbaugh, Personnel Associate II was named Employee of the Month for July 2011 at the Maryland Correctional Training Center (MCTC) south of Hagerstown.

Carbaugh is an integral part of the MCTC Personnel Office. On many occasions she has stepped up and accepted challenges above and beyond her job description. Although the Personnel Office has been short-staffed recently, Carbaugh kept up her work assignments and accepted additional responsibilities. Her work is neat, accurate, and timely.

Carbaugh is courteous and professional when staff and visitors come to the Personnel Office. She is pleasant to talk with and makes anybody coming to the office feel confident their problem will be handled in an efficient and professional manner.

Carbaugh has stayed late and come in early to make sure assignments and tasks are up to date in the office and that tasks are done in a timely manner. She readily handles normal operational assignments as well as special assignments and those above her grade level when necessary in a professional manner.

Carbaugh has been employed at MCTC since September of 2006. She was transferred to the MCTC Personnel Office in 2008.

MCTC, located south of Hagerstown on Roxbury Road, is a Division of Correction facility that houses approximately 2,700 male offenders. There are approximately 600 personnel positions at the prison.
